Day 2 of the Puerto Aventuras International Film Festival delivered another fantastic wave of storytelling, energy, and community spirit. From the morning session at Munchy’s to the double-screen late-night showcase at The Divot and The Nauti Burro, the momentum from opening night only grew stronger.
We’re especially thrilled to share that audience participation in the film rating process has been enthusiastic and incredibly well received. Your thoughtful feedback is helping highlight standout films and create a deeper connection between filmmakers and viewers—exactly what PAIFF is all about.
A true highlight of the day was the overwhelming response to Historias del Canal at The Divot, where an attentive and emotionally invested audience immersed themselves in five beautifully crafted stories tied to Panama’s storied canal. The Q&A with actor Keith Furones added a personal, heartfelt dimension to an already powerful screening.
And for those keeping an eye on our silent auction, the original acrylic painting by Jesse Montenegro has already attracted multiple bids! This striking, festival-exclusive artwork is up for grabs through Sunday morning’s session, so there’s still time to throw your name in the mix and take home a piece of PAIFF history.
From art criticism and co-working spirituality to dark comedies and gritty thrillers, Day 2 reminded us how diverse voices and creative visions can move, provoke, and connect us.
